Power Finance Corporation sets up SPV for major Latur transmission infrastructure project
Power Finance Corporation’s consulting arm, PFC Consulting Ltd (PFCCL), has incorporated a special purpose vehicle (SPV) named Latur REZ Transmission Ltd to take forward a crucial power transmission project in Latur district. This strategic initiative aims to facilitate the development of a 400/220/132 kV AIS transmission substation to strengthen electricity infrastructure in the region.
The Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Ltd (MSETCL) appointed PFCCL as the Bid Process Coordinator for the project under a tariff-based competitive bidding framework. The SPV will handle preparatory work including land surveys, regulatory clearances, and documentation required before the competitive bidding for implementation begins. Once a transmission service provider is selected, the SPV will be transferred to the successful bidder to complete the project, which is expected to support industrial growth and reliable power supply in the Latur area.
